A letter to my future clients

Greetings,

My name is Dr. Bea Keller-Dupree, and I’m so thankful you found your way to my website. As a therapist, counselor educator, consultant, supervisor, researcher, wife, and mom, I often ask myself, “how can we make our lives more meaningful?” Imbedded in this question is a genuine curiosity of the human capacity for meaning making, growth, healing, and change.

When I opened my private practice in 2013, I chose the name Enrichment Counseling and Consultation with great intentionality. Enrichment means to make fuller, more meaningful, and more satisfying. I fundamentally believe that you are here for that very reason: readiness for a more meaningful life.

My counseling practice is influenced by strengths-based approaches, including humanism, positive psychology, self-empowerment, and well-being theory. I endeavor to help my clients explore personal well-being practices, improve relationships (with self and others!), restore work-life rhythms, and heal from past and present hurts. This work is not always easy, but it is always worthwhile.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my practice. I hope to hear from you soon!

Be well,

Bea

Well-Being Improvements

One way to live a more meaningful life is to enrich our well-being. Enriching well-being involves exploring our current functioning with relationships, healthy striving/challenges, work-life integration, health, forgiveness, gratitude, resilience, and more. Grounded in the scientific study of positive psychology, well-being promotes personal betterment and offers each of us an opportunity to feel better equipped to navigate life’s complexities.

Infertility/Family Planning

Family planning is often a deeply personal and sometimes unfairly challenging experience. Therapy can help individuals, couples, and families feel safe and supported in their exploration of infertility, grief, decision making, and other conversations that accompany the family planning experience. Therapy services include perinatal and/or postpartum therapy options for individuals and couples.

Anxiety/Depression

Identified as two of the most common mental health conditions, anxiety and depression are experiences that often leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and out-of-touch with the present moment. Strengths-based approaches to counseling depression and anxiety can help clients reconnect with their life, explore personal values, enrich well-being, and adopt healthier approaches to manage the symptoms of these conditions.

Grief/Loss

Grief and loss are universal experiences, yet they often feel deeply isolating. Grief work is hard work and it’s "heart" work. Therapy can help individuals, couples, and families hold space for their grief while also making meaning of their loss.

Work/Life Transition

Career decision making and other life transitions can involve change and uncertainty. In this process, we are asked to make hard and personalized decisions about the direction we want our life to go. Therapy can help clients feel confident in considering alternatives for their life, while also landing on decisions that are consistent with their values and goals for the life well-lived.
